Sunday School

The Bible says in Colossians 2: 6 & 7, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” 

How many times have we seen children grow up and spend their teen years trying to figure out what their purpose in life is? They ask questions like, “Why am I alive? Who am I? Why is my life like this?” Let us not forget the ever-present peer pressure our kids are facing daily from friends who have not decided to live for God. With so many lifestyle foundations being introduced to kids at a young age, we must understand the seriousness of convincing our kids to build their lives on the foundation of Jesus. He is the only solid foundation. We can rely on Him. He has our best in mind. n order for our kids to build their lives on Jesus, they first must make a definite decision that they will live for Him and Him only. They must know His Word, trust Him, and obey Him.

Our children are the next generation of leaders. Whatever foundation they learn now is what they will build on. Can you imagine what this world will be like in 50 years if our kids do not start building their lives on the message of Jesus Christ today? The early developmental years of children’s lives are foundational years. It is best to lay a Christ-centered foundation now, so they can build a purposeful life that is led by God’s Holy Spirit. Today, we want to teach the kids to build their lives on Jesus. He is the only solid foundation. 

What better way than to start laying the foundation in the lives of our young children by encouraging them to attend Sunday School….. Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.  Revelation 3:20
