Methodist Seniors Fellowship
The Methodist Seniors Fellowship began as a result of a thirst for spiritual knowledge by about 20 seniors in the church as well as a desire to have fellowship among them way back in early 90s. With God's grace and blessings, the MSF now has some 116 full members and 10 associate members. Church members who are 50 and above are able to join as full members. There will be no yearly subscription fee for membership but members may donate towards the operating expenses.
In the MSF, programs are planned to meet the needs of the seniors for fellowship and fun. However efforts are constantly being made to intentionally move towards a more balanced blend of fellowship and ministry. We will try to provide emotional support to one another, to visit other members and to help those with special needs. The seniors play a vital role in Prayer Ministry, mentoring, visitation, outreach programs and in mission work. They also reach out to senior non-Christian friends and relatives. Members are encouraged to continue to grow in spiritual maturity by doing bible study, attending seminars and courses organized, joining a care group and praying for one another.
Our regular activities are:
The Parenting Teenagers Course (children between 11 and 18 years old) and The Parenting Course (children below 11 years old) by ALPHA International will be conducted from the homes of church members on request in the 2nd half of 2013. Church members are encouraged to invite parents in the neighbourhood to join the course at their homes. Each course has 5 weekly sessions, each lasting about 3 hours inclusive of refreshment time.Read more...
